Godwin is still expected to miss regular season games, and could be out until October. He will, however, officially avoid being placed on any type of reserve list. Less is known about Wirfs’ expected return date but both players will now be allowed to practice with their teammates. Godwin could end up returning weekly WR3 value once he gets up to speed.

Watson must now sit out at least four games before he is eligible to return. The field-stretching wide receiver is rehabbing from a torn ACL from suffered last year. The Packers also placed DL Collin Oliver and G John Williams on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, and S Omar Brown was placed on injured reserve.

He’ll miss at least the first four games of the season after suffering a hamstring injury following the first game of the preseason. Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks will carry the workload behind josh Jacobs for the time being.

Parsons, of course, has been a hold-in and has also dealt with a tight back in training camp that would probably untighten quickly with a contract extension. This comes just four months after the Patriots declined Strange’s fifth-year option. Strange lost most of the 2024 season due to a torn patellar tendon, limiting him to just two starts. He will now be subject to waivers should any team feel frisky enough to gamble on his underwhelming profile.

After the trade of Kenny Pickett, that leaves Shedeur Sanders as the team’s No. 3. Gabriel looked good in preseason action, completing 13-of-18 passes for 143 yards and an interception in the second game and 12-of-19 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown in their third game. He probably wouldn’t be a fantasy factor if he took over the Browns’ starting quarterback job, but there’s a chance he’d at least keep David Njoku and Jerry Jeudy from falling into the abyss.

Most players placed on IR are placed on IR-return, but McGary’s knee injury was serious enough that he was placed on the season-ending version of injured reserve. Michael Jerrell, who the Falcons traded for earlier today, could get a chance to fill in at right tackle with both McGary and Storm Norton out. There’s no timetable for McGary’s return at the moment.
