USC player teammate Steve Smith broke teammate Dominique Byrd's broken jaw in a fight, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.
Smith said he and Byrd got in the fight over money, the newspaper reported.
Neither Byrd, a tight end, or Smith, a wide receiver, are in trouble with the program, the newspaper reported.
"The way these guys battle and they do stuff, they live together, there's going to be issues," Trojans coach Pete Carroll said, the Times reported. "Did you ever fight with your brother? ... I'm sorry that somebody got hurt but other than that it's not a big deal. They're fine about it."
