FOXBORO, Mass. - Patriots coach Bill Belichick says the team has a “good plan” to deal with coaching responsibilities for the remainder of the season.
Offensive coordinator Charlie Weis will be splitting his time with the Patriots and Notre Dame, now that he’s been named head coach of the Fighting Irish.
Belichick said some responsibilities might be divided up a little differently. But he made it clear that Weis remains the team’s offensive coordinator and the immediate focus is on preparing for next Monday night’s game at Miami.
Belichick said he’s very happy personally for Weis, who he called a good friend and someone who has done a great job for the Patriots over the last five years.
CSN: Brian Urlacher, who played 13 seasons for the Bears, announced his retirement from football Wenesday on his personal twitter account.
