Free agent pitcher Carl Pavano completed his visit with Yankees officials on Sunday. He'll head to Baltimore, Seattle and Anaheim this week.

BALTIMORE - Carl Pavano was given a tour of Camden Yards on Monday by Baltimore Orioles executive vice president Jim Beattie.

It was the fourth site visited this fall by Pavano, who was 18-8 with a 3.00 ERA with the Florida Marlins last season. He has also been wooed by the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees and world champion Boston Red Sox.

Pavano arrived in Baltimore on Sunday and had dinner with Orioles owner Peter Angelos, Beattie, manager Lee Mazzilli and pitching coach Ray Miller.

On Monday, the pitcher was led through the Orioles’ ballpark by Beattie, who has been seeking to add a solid starter to a staff that struggled for much of last season. Pavano worked out with conditioning coach Tim Bishop, was introduced to head trainer Richie Bancells and was shown the team’s video equipment.

“We had a very nice visit,” Beattie said. “We kept asking Carl if there was anything else he wanted to know or wanted to see, and he seemed satisfied. We just want to give him a sense of what it was like here.”

Pavano will next visit with the Seattle Mariners and will head toward Anaheim, where baseball’s winter meetings begin Friday.

Beattie said the Orioles did not extend an offer to the right-hander on Monday.

“We’re going to talk to him again at the winter meetings,” Beattie said.
