Verlander to cut off contract talks in season

Justin Verlander said Saturday that he doesn't plan to hold any contract talks during the season with the Tigers.
The Tigers have expressed interest in signing Verlander to a multi-year extension, but will have to wait to reopen talks until after the season if they can't get a deal done by next week. Verlander, who turned 30 last month, is signed for $20 million this season and under contract through 2014.
