Texans sign 9-time Pro Bowl P Shane Lechler

Texans agreed to terms with P Shane Lechler, formerly of the Raiders, to a three-year, $5.5 million contract with a $1 million signing bonus.
Although Lechler is coming off a down season, punters don't usually fall off the cliff at age 36. We suspect he has several good years left. Lechler is a nine-time Pro Bowler and six-time first-team All Pro. He's led the NFL in yards-per-punt average five times. Lechler looks like a great pickup for Houston.
