Non-roster invitee Felix Pie has played himself into serious consideration for a reserve outfielder job on the Pirates' Opening Day roster.
Despite the fact that he made his Major League debut in 2007, Pie is still only 28-years-old. He's hitting .308 with two homers, eight RBI and a pair of steals in 22 games this spring, while playing tremendous defense in the outfield. They're only likely to keep one or two of Pie, Brad Hawpe and Alex Presley, but Pie has certainly done everything in his power to earn the opportunity.
