Sabathia throws against minor leaguers

CC Sabathia allowed one run over six innings Wednesday against Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The Yankees had the Red Sox on the schedule Wednesday afternoon, Sabathia's opponent on Opening Day, so he got his work in on the minor league side. Sabathia scattered eight hits while striking out six and walking just one. He threw 65 out of 92 pitches for strikes. There's every reason to believe he'll be ready for April 1.
