Hanley Ramirez (thumb) could miss 2-10 weeks

Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Dodgers think Hanley Ramirez (thumb) could miss anywhere from 2-10 weeks.

Of course, that's quite a wide range, so we'll know a lot more when the MRI results come back. Still, the low end of that timetable would take him out of the mix for Opening Day. If that's the case, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly plans to use Luis Cruz at shortstop and alternate his options (Juan Uribe, Jerry Hairston, Jr.) at third base.
