Updating a previous item, Wes Welker's agency says the Patriots' lone offer was presented as "take it or leave it."
The bickering between Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Welker's representatives continues. Both sides agree that a two-year offer was presented just before free agency opened, but the terms and tone of the deal are in dispute. The agency also claims that once Welker got his two-year, $12 million offer from the Broncos, he personally contacted Kraft to give him a chance to match. The Patriots allegedly declined. According to NFL.com, their offer was two years for $10 million, along with incentives could have pushed the deal to $16 million.
