Jhoulys Chacin named Opening Day starter
Jhoulys Chacin - S - Colorado Rockies
March 18, 2013 - 8:10 PM ET

Jhoulys Chacin has been named the Rockies' Opening Day starter.

He was the most logical choice. Chacin put up a 4.43 ERA during an injury-shortened 2012 season, but he showed more promise in 2010 and 2011, posting a combined ERA of 3.48. He's a worthy late-round choice in mixed leagues. The Rockies also announced that Jeff Francis would start the club's home opener.
