Steven Jackson's three-year, $12 million contract with the Falcons contains no guaranteed money behind the first season.
So if Jackson falls off the cliff during his age-30 season -- we don't think he will -- the Falcons can get out of his deal with little or no salary cap hit in 2014. S-Jax received a $3.5 million signing bonus, and $500,000 of his 2013 base salary ($1.75 million) is guaranteed. In 2014, Jackson's salary jumps to $3 million. His final base salary is scheduled at $3.75 million.
