Stephen Drew looking unlikely for Opening Day
Stephen Drew - SS - Boston Red Sox
March 17, 2013 - 10:30 AM ET

Red Sox manager John Farrell said the "window is narrowing" for Stephen Drew (concussion) to be ready on Opening Day.

Drew is doing some light throwing but is still unable to take batting practice. Barring a rapid improvement, it's not looking likely he'll be on the field on April 1 against the Yankees. Jose Iglesias would probably handle shortstop if Drew isn't ready. Pedro Ciriaco and Brock Holt would also be in the mix.
