Mark Teixeira (wrist) indicated Sunday that it's possible he could be out all of May.
Teixeira won't rush back, saying he could return anywhere from early May to early June. The first baseman revealed that the injury is to the tendon sheath in his right wrist, which is the same ailment Jose Bautista dealt with last year. Bautista underwent surgery, and it's possible Teixeira might eventually have to go under the knife. General manager Brian Cashman estimated Sunday that the first baseman has a 70 percent chance of avoiding surgery. If he has an operation, it would end his season.
