Tyson Ross continued his strong spring Saturday, pitching 5 1/3 scoreless innings in the Padres 10-6 win over the Diamondbacks.
Ross is battling for a spot in the Padres rotation, and turns like Saturday improve his chances of breaking camp with a starting role. Ross now has a 2.76 ERA on the spring. The 25-year-old, whose brother, Joe, is also part of the Padres organization, started 13 games for the A's last season, so he's no stranger to the rotation.
