Domonic Brown hit a three-run homer off Hiroki Kuroda as the Phillies shut out a Yankees split-squad 7-0 on Saturday.
It was Brown's fourth homer in 52 at-bats this spring. He's hitting .365 with a nifty 7/6 K/BB ratio. There's little doubt now that Brown will open the season as at least a starter against right-handers for the Phillies. However, he'll need to keep playing well in April to keep his spot when Delmon Young returns.
