Justin Turner dealing with right ankle sprain
Justin Turner - 2B - New York Mets
March 16, 2013 - 2:40 PM ET

Justin Turner left Saturday's game with a right ankle sprain.

The full extent of the injury isn't yet known. Turner was injured on a throw to first base and was sent to the hospital to undergo x-rays. With David Wright (ribs) looking questionable for the start of the season, the Mets can ill-afford to lose Turner for significant time. Zach Lutz and Brandon Hicks will get an extended look at third base until he's ready to return.
