NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Total Access Friday that the Cardinals are unlikely to draft a quarterback at No. 7 overall.
Arizona at No. 7 is the popular landing spot for West Virginia's Geno Smith in mock drafts. "What I do hear from the Cardinals, it's unlikely that they would draft a quarterback in the first round," Rapoport reported. "So it looks like going into the 2013 season, it's gonna be (Brian) Hoyer versus (Drew) Stanton." The Cards also have John Skelton and Ryan Lindley on the roster, and they could both be placed on the trade block. If Arizona is going to move the ball on offense in 2013, they'll need some serious Bruce Arians magic.
