Christian Garcia will begin season on DL

Nationals manager Davey Johnson said Friday that there's "no possibility" Christian Garcia (forearm) will be ready to start the season.
It's not a surprise, but now we know for sure. Garcia has a partial tendon tear in his right forearm and is slated to resume throwing soon, but he simply doesn't have enough time. He should be ready early on in the season if he avoids setbacks.
