Free agent DE Dwight Freeney is visiting the Patriots Friday.
Freeney isn't just going to sit around and wait for the Broncos to finish their standoff with Elvis Dumervil. He'd be a nice fit as a situational pass rusher in New England, where Bill Belichick always seems to be getting the most out of inexpensive superstars past their prime. Former Falcons pass-rusher John Abraham, who is also visiting the Patriots Friday, fits the bill as well. New England ranked 15th in the league last year with 37 sacks.
