Sergio Santos (triceps) threw 18 pitches in a minor league game Thursday with no issues.
He'll make his Grapefruit League debut Saturday before appearing in back-to-back outings at some point late next week. "I don't foresee anything why I shouldn't be ready for Opening Day," Santos said. "If Opening Day was next week, I feel like I would be ready. So from my standpoint, the way I see it now, I feel like I am 100 percent ready moving on from here." Casey Janssen (shoulder) is less sure of being ready for the opener, so Santos could see some save chances.
