J.A. Happ goes 3 1/3 scoreless in start
J.A. Happ - S - Toronto Blue Jays
March 10, 2013 - 4:50 PM ET

J.A. Happ pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings Sunday in his start against the Yankees.

Brett Cecil then followed him and gave up three runs -- two earned -- in 1 1/3 innings. Both left-handers are vying for spots on the Jays, with Cecil's advantage coming in the fact that he's out of options. Still, Happ has a 1.93 ERA so far, while Cecil is at 8.59. The Blue Jays will have to decide later whether they want Happ in middle relief or if it'd be better to stick him in Triple-A to serve as rotation insurance.
