Lions interested in Hixon and Gibson?
Domenik Hixon - WR - New York Giants
March 10, 2013 - 4:35 PM ET

The Detroit Free Press hints the Lions will check in on second-tier free agent receivers like Domenik Hixon and Brandon Gibson.

With Nate Burleson in decline and Ryan Broyles recovering from another ACL tear, the Lions have a major need opposite Calvin Johnson. Greg Jennings would be a strong fit, but is likely too pricey. Gibson could make an impact as a chain-mover in the Lions' high-octane offense, but his reported demands (between $5-$6 million) will likely price him out of the Lions' range.
