ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi believes the Browns are "resigned" to putting Brandon Weeden on a one-year trial with the new coaching regime.
This coincides with what the Cleveland Plain Dealer speculated earlier this week. The Browns have vowed to bring in competition for Weeden, but they will struggle to find an upgrade in the draft or free agency. Derek Anderson, Ryan Mallett, Matt Flynn, and Matt Cassel have all been linked as possible targets.
