Vikings not to be major players on top WRs?

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune says it's "unlikely the Vikings will be major players" for free agents Greg Jennings and Mike Wallace.
Beat writer Dan Wiederer cites GM Rick Spielman's philosophy of building through the draft and his unwillingness to shell out major dollars for free agents. Wiederer thinks it's more likely the Vikings turn their attention back to Jerome Simpson and other second-tier talents like Brandon Gibson and Donnie Avery. If Spielman settles for another Simpson or Gibson type, the Vikings will be incapable of stretching the field yet again in 2013.
