Citing multiple league sources, NJ.com's Jordan Raanan reports the Eagles are expected to pursue FS Dashon Goldson in free agency.
The dots here have been easy to connect. The Eagles have lots of money, a safety need, and new Philly VP of Player Personnel Tom Gamble was in the 49ers' front office during Goldson's development into an elite ball hawk and center-field safety. Goldson turned down a five-year, $25 million offer from San Francisco last offseason. He's seeking something more like $40 million over five seasons. The Eagles can get to $40 million under the cap by cutting Nnamdi Asomugha.
