One NFC personnel man believes Mike Wallace won't be worth the big contract he'll receive in free agency because he's a limited route runner.
"He has inconsistent hands and he is predominantly a vertical guy," said the personnel man. "He's got some tightness through his hips and just struggles dropping his weight and getting in and out of routes. He can run fast. But there's kind of limitations in what he can do. And it's not like he's a real strong guy after the catch." On the flip side, Wallace scores touchdowns (32 in four seasons), draws double teams, and blows the top off of defenses. Only 26, he's earned a premium payday.
