Cardinals considering 2nd-rd tender for Hoyer
Brian Hoyer - QB - Arizona Cardinals
March 7, 2013 - 5:35 PM ET

The Cardinals are considering tendering restricted free agent QB Brian Hoyer at the second-round level.

The second-rounder would pay Hoyer $2.023 million, as opposed to the "original round" tender of $1.323 million. Since Hoyer wasn't drafted, Arizona wouldn't receive any compensation if a team signed him away on the original round tender. No team will part with a second-round pick for Hoyer.
