Derek Jeter given 'final clearance' on ankle

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Thursday that Derek Jeter (ankle) has been given "final clearance."
Jeter had one last checkup on Thursday afternoon in North Carolina with the doctor that performed his late-October ankle surgery and Girardi told reporters back in Yankees camp that it "went great." The veteran shortstop remains a solid fantasy option for the 2013 season. He should begin playing in Grapefruit League games this weekend.
