
According to the Boston Globe, the "overwhelming sentiment" from both sides is that free agent Wes Welker will re-sign with the Patriots.
ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss shared the same feeling on Wednesday. Although Welker may have been irked by his early-season demotion, it won't prevent him from re-upping with the Patriots. And once he hits the market, he'll likely find that New England values him the most anyway thanks to his unique role in their scheme. The Globe calls the wrangling in the media simply "part of the process."
