Free agent Ed Reed has yet to hire an agent.

It means Reed won't benefit from the league's three-day "legal tampering" period, as teams are only allowed to negotiate with players' agents, not the players themselves. Perhaps Reed can find a way around it via a "business advisor" or something similar. The three-day blackout isn't going to affect the veteran safety's market, which will be strong.
