Chiefs GM John Dorsey isn't worried about Dwayne Bowe's motivation after signing his five-year, $56 million deal Monday.
SI's Don Banks reported in February that "many teams" were worried about Bowe having a "decreased effort level" after signing a long-term deal. "I told him it's his responsibility to uphold his end of the bargain. He said he understood the challenge ahead and he totally embraced that challenge," Dorsey said. "He is ready to take that position of being one of the top receivers in professional football." Instead of worrying about hypotheticals, Dorsey stepped up to the plate and kept a top-flight player. Bowe is going to draw an immense amount of targets from new QB Alex Smith in 2013.
