Cole Hamels torched by Dominican squad

Cole Hamels was pounded for eight runs and 12 hits in 2 2/3 innings by the Dominican Republic in an exhibition Tuesday.
In his defense, Hamels was facing a lineup with six possible All-Stars. Still, that's quite a spanking he took. Jose Reyes homered off him, and Hanley Ramirez doubled twice. Even Miguel Tejada doubled off him. Hamels did pitch well in his first two starts of the spring, so maybe we shouldn't hold this one against him.
