Nationals pitching prospect Lucas Giolito (elbow) has been throwing from 90 feet on flat ground.
Giolito underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery last August and will miss the majority of the 2013 season. The 18-year-old right-hander was selected 16th overall in the 2012 MLB Amateur Draft and should climb quickly through the Nats' farm system once he has his health. He's a serious talent.
