Steelers sign William Gay to 3-year contract
William Gay - DB - Pittsburgh Steelers
March 4, 2013 - 1:50 PM ET

Steelers signed CB William Gay, formerly of the Cardinals, to a three-year contract.

He announced the deal on Twitter. Gay, 28, returns to Pittsburgh after one failed season in Arizona, where he registered 57 tackles, one sack, two picks, and three forced fumbles while getting picked on opposite Patrick Peterson. Gay knows Dick LeBeau's defense and provides some insurance on Keenan Lewis' likely exit. Ideally, Gay will be no more than Pittsburgh's nickel/slot corner in 2013.
