American Olympic champion Jenn Suhr set the women's world indoor pole vault record when she leaped 5.02 meters at the U.S. championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Saturday.

The vault, on Suhr's first attempt at the height, eclipsed Russian Yelena Isinbayeva's 2012 record of 5.01 meters.
