Edinson Volquez allowed six runs in two innings of work Saturday, but the Padres rebounded to score an 11-8 win over the Indians.
Despite the win, it certainly wasn't the start Volquez was hoping for after throwing two scoreless innings in his first start of the spring. Strangely enough, it was hits and not walks that did Volquez in Saturday, as he allowed six hits -- five with two outs -- and all six runs in the first inning. Rough outing aside, the 29-year-old is still locked in as a member of the Padres Opening Day rotation.
