Drew Smyly perfect for three innings in win

Drew Smyly pitched three perfect innings, striking out two, as a Tigers split-squad beat the Pirates 3-1 on Saturday.
Smyly, now up to five scoreless innings, could force the Tigers to make a tough call if he keeps pitching like this. Rick Porcello doesn't deserve to lose his rotation spot, but Smyly may be the better option as a fifth starter, particularly on a team with such a mediocre infield defense.
