Emilio Bonifacio homered off the Phillies' Cliff Lee and doubled in his two at-bats Saturday.
There's a decent case for making Bonifacio the Jays' primary second baseman, but it seems that they promised Maicer Izturis the job in order to entice him into signing. Bonifacio still figures to get plenty of playing time in a super-utility role, and his speed will give him some value in AL-only leagues.
