Garza (lat) 'longshot' to be ready for season

Cubs manager Dale Sveum said Matt Garza (lat) is a "longshot" to be ready for the start of the season.
Garza resumed throwing this week and is working his way back from a lat strain. It sounds like he'll be moved along slowly rather than risk further injury in spring training. Even if he manages to get healthy for the start of the season, the Cubs are likely to go with Jeff Samardzija as their Opening Day starter.
