Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Carl Crawford being ready for Opening Day will be a "challenge" following the outfielder's setback with his surgically-repaired left elbow.
Crawford, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, will be shut down for a week after developing nerve irritation in his forearm. It doesn't appear to be a major setback at this point, but a DL stint to start the year looks like a near certainty at this point. Crawford was limited to just 31 games last season.
