The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel says "it's hard to imagine" the Packers not having extensions done with Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews before the season.
Rodgers has two years left on his deal, and Matthews is in the final year of his rookie contract. Rodgers will certainly be kicking back to see what Joe Flacco gets on his ensuing mega-deal before engaging in extension talks with the Packers. Rodgers is a bargain right now at his $9.75 million cap number. Green Bay plans to put the extra $2.5 million in cap space that was announced on Thursday to good use.
