Cowboys to keep WR Austin after restructure
Miles Austin - WR - Dallas Cowboys
Feb. 28, 2013 - 5:00 PM ET

The Cowboys have restructured Miles Austin's contract, clearing $3 million in cap space.

Despite previous suggestions to the contrary, Austin will not be released. He did not take a pay cut, instead moving money around on his $6.732 million base salary in order to help the team. Austin is still just 28, though he's looked like a 30-year-old wide receiver the past two seasons as his explosiveness has been sapped by lower-leg injuries. He finished 2012 with 66 catches for 943 yards and six touchdowns and will be a WR3 target in 2013 fantasy drafts.
