Report: Pats won't use tag on Wes Welker

Yahoo's Jason Cole isn't sure Tom Brady's team-friendly extension guarantees free agent Wes Welker will be back with the Patriots.
Cole cautions not to count on the "fairy tale coming true." It's an indication Welker won't settle for a below-market deal, which isn't surprising since this is likely his last crack at free agency. Brady will surely be rankled to no end if the Pats don't use some of the savings he provided to lock up his slot machine.
