Ramses Barden hitting the open market

The Giants have interest in re-signing free agent Ramses Barden, but will let him hit the open market.
"We have spoken and they do have interest in re-signing him," Barden's rep said. "(But) we agreed that he'll test the market and see how it unfolds." Translation, if Barden is back in New York, it will be on the Giants' terms. The 2009 third-round pick has just 29 catches through four seasons, nine of which came against the Panthers last Week 3. Barden's 6-foot-6, 224 pounds may intrigue a few teams on the open market, but his tape won't do him any more favors than his numbers.
