De La Rosa throws 100 mph in spring debut

Rubby De La Rosa topped out at 100 mph in Sunday's Grapefruit League appearance.
The Red Sox are being cautious with De La Rosa in his first season back from Tommy John surgery, but the 23-year-old should contribute at some point in 2013. "Three pitches for strikes, confidence on the mound, a lot of good things out of him," said manager John Farrell. "When you profile that out, he's a starter. Time will tell what role he settles into."
