NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Ravens and free agent Joe Flacco are "plugging away" on a new deal.

A source estimates the sides have spent eight hours negotiating over the past week. This jibes with speculation that both sides want a new deal in place ahead of the March 4 deadline to apply the franchise tag, though Flacco's rep told Profootballtalk on Saturday there was a "long way to go."
