Mike Smith: Quizz can handle all three downs

Coach Mike Smith says Jacquizz Rodgers "can handle all three downs" at running back.

This reeks of coachspeak. "We thought he was only going to be a change-of-pace back," Smith said. "We found out very quickly that even though he is short, he is not little. He can handle all three downs and he does a very good job for us returning kicks." Rodgers remains best suited for passing-down work. Atlanta is expected to eye a big back in free agency or the draft to replace Michael Turner.
