Red Sox manager John Farrell said Rubby De La Rosa has "been impressive" early in spring training.
"He's been impressive, not just in terms of the sheer stuff, but his ability to manipulate the baseball," Farrell said. "We'll be a little bit more slow-paced with him early on." De La Rosa has been the talk of spring training and there's a lot of excitement within the organization regarding him right now. The Red Sox are expected to put him on an innings-limit in his first season back from Tommy John surgery, but he could force his way into the majors at some point in 2013.
