The Nashville Tennessean suggests the Titans' battle over Jared Cook's position -- tight end or wide receiver -- could eventually go to an arbitrator.
Cook wants to be tagged as a wide receiver because he played upwards of 60 percent of his 2012 snaps in the slot and out wide. He has a good case, as the NFL's CBA states "the (franchise) tender will apply to the position in which the player participated in the most plays." Terrell Suggs won a similar case when the Ravens tagged him as a linebacker. He played more snaps at defensive end.
